The Pressure Mounts

There is a lot of pressure that comes with the first posting of a new blog. Kind of like the first chapter in a famous novel -- it can set the tone and determine who will read on. The weight of the world aside, I think that it's important to introduce the concept behind the fleeting thoughts which will inevitably grace the screens of this blog at one point or another.

The greatest drive behind my desire to compose this blog is the fact that there are so many rules - written and unwritten; real and conceptual; legal and administrative - and the fact of the matter is that a lot of it is crap. Crap that is disguised so well and almost prophesized by those it has mesmerized -- so that none of us can see our way through all the mess.

DON'T misunderstand me as one of those loonies out to find the loophole to everything. I'm not a former felon (never even been in close proximity with a police officer except for work and except to get my one and only speeding ticket -- that bastard!) looking to get out of everything. I'm a fan of "you do the crime; you do the time." I'm just out to set the record straight -- and just plain be an advocate for my views. Kind of like MythBusters -- except way less scientific and dangerous. (You won't see me testing guns anytime soon to prove a point.)

So strap yourself in -- it might be a wild ride. At times it might also be a long and boring one. I don't make promises. Just hold on tight and keep a pillow handy in case you fall asleep along the way.
